MORE DARK THAN SHARK - FEATURE

BRIAN ENO: SHIPS - LIVE IN VENICE, BERLIN, PARIS, UTRECHT AND LONDON

In 2023 Brian Eno was commissioned by La Biennale di Venezia to create Ships, an orchestral work based on his 2016 album, The Ship. It premiered in Venice on October 21, 2023 and was followed by performances in Berlin (October 24), Paris (October 26), Utrecht (October 28) and two in London (both on October 30). The piece was presented in conjunction with the Baltic Sea Philharmonic under the direction of Kristjan Järvi and guests including actor Peter Serafinowicz and vocalist Melanie Pappenheim as well as Eno's frequent collaborators Leo Abrahams and Peter Chilvers.
