DAVID BYRNE: RIDE, RISE, ROAR

For his 2008/9 tour - comprising music co-written with Brian Eno - Byrne and director Hillman Curtis used unorthodox choreographers who'd never worked in a pop context, and dancers who don't look like dancers. As the band play all your faves (Burning Down The House, Once In A Lifetime, I Zimbra), amusingly schlumpy hoofers (dressed in white and resembling a religious cult) walk among the, doing herky-jerky routines that recall Vic & Bob. Amusing and oddly engaging.

EXTRAS: None.
