BRIAN AND ROGER ENO: MIXING COLOURS - CALMING AND BEAUTIFUL
This might be just what we need now: a meditative collection of instrumental pieces that are the aural equivalent of abstract art, without a clear narrative, but bringing a powerful influence on the mood through the use of tone and sense of space.
The project began in 2005, when modern classical composer Roger began sending sketches to brother Brian to augment and play around with, leading to subtle sound effects on the piano piece Slow Movement: Sand and extended reverberations on what sounds like a vibraphone for Cinnabar.
Contemplative, calming and really rather beautiful, this is the kind of music that creates an inner world you won't want to leave, especially while the outer one is off-limits.
