BOWIE AND ENO COLLABORATE ON REMIXES
An EP of remixes of the Brian Eno/David Bowie collaboration I'm Afraid Of Americans will be released October 14 by Virgin. Five of the retoolings of the song, which appears in its original from on Bowie's Earthling album, are by Nine Inch Nails; the sixth take is by drum 'n' bass minimalist Rupert "Photek" Parkes. Trent Reznor lends background vocals to one of Nine Inch Nails' mixes, while rapper Ice Cube is featured in another. The Bowie/Nine Inch Nails partnership is presaged by the pair's 1995 North American tour, during which they performed together for four songs at each date.
