BRIAN ENO TO RELEASE NEW BOX SET 'MUSIC FOR INSTALLATIONS'

Each track on the collection is either "new, rare, or unreleased"

Brian Eno is set release a comprehensive new box set, titled Music For Installations.

The acclaimed artist will treat fans to a wealthy archive of either "new, rare or unreleased" music with the release, including pieces which were debuted as part of art installations in previous years - dating all the way back to 1986.

Music For Installations will be available in three formats: a six-disc standard CD version, the six-disc CD super deluxe version, and a nine-LP vinyl super deluxe version. The nine-LP edition also includes a sixty-four-page book which contains "rare and unseen exhibition photographs and a new essay written by Eno".

The box set will be released on May 4 via UMC, and you can pre-order the box set in the UK here.

Back in October, Eno's surprise collaboration with My Bloody Valentine frontman Kevin Shields was shared for the first time.

The song, Once Away My Son, was originally released as part of Adult Swim's long-running Singles Program, with the duo contributing music to the network's ongoing 'fifty-two weeks of free music' project.

The track is now due to be included as part of a double A-side vinyl release for this year's Record Store Day, which takes place on April 21.
