STEPHEN HAWKING TO HEADLINE SCIENCE AND MUSIC FESTIVAL IN NORWAY

Stephen Hawking will address his largest ever audience when he headlines a science and music festival in Norway.

The theoretical physicist will deliver a lecture at Starmus IV in Trondheim when it moves from the Canary Islands next year to examine origin and evolution, the human brain, society and global issues.

He will be joined at the festival by retired cosmonaut Alexei Leonov and musician Brian Eno, as well as Nobel Prize winners including George Smoot, Adam Riess and Robert Wilson.

The festival will expand from an audience of a thousand to more than ten-thousand with the change in venue.

Garik Israelian, the founder of the festival, said: "After three successful festivals in the Canary Islands, it is an honour to be invited to the scientific capital of Norway, Trondheim, to expand Starmus and reach even greater heights."

The fourth Starmus festival, entitled Life And The Universe, will be held from June 18 to 23, 2017.

Tickets go on sale on October 24 at www.starmus.com.
